Technology companies of the North gathered at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel on Wednesday to attend GP Bullhound’s 2016 Northern Tech Awards, which honour the talent of technology companies in the North of England and Scotland.
RealityMine were awarded the Judge’s ‘Innovation Award’, chosen by high-profile judges, including David Rowan, Editor of Wired, Sir Terry Leahy, former Tesco CEO, education expert Sherry Coutu, and Alex Baldock, CEO of Shop Direct.
The Northern Tech Awards work to identify and reward the fastest-growing tech companies in the North, showcasing the broad stretch of talent and potential in the north and the international importance of the region.
The Northern Tech Awards also release a Top 50 league table of the fastest growing companies in the area. With these companies increasing their combined revenues by 90% in 2015, the awards celebrated the continued expansion of the Northern digital economy.
The list named RealityMine as 3rd fastest growing in the region, with a revenue growth of 148% from 2013 – 2015, only tipped to the top by Ontrac and CarFinance247.
Other winners of the evening include Skyscanner for the Overall Judges Award, LADBible for the Young Entrepreneur’s award, and Ontrac for the Fastest Growing.
